PE to UC Taxes

I will have 2 x H Class PE seats and will be looking at using miles to upgrade to UC (MAN-MCO and return).

Can anyone give me any idea how much difference in Taxes etc there will be to do this.

Do a dummy booking for UC and then one for PE and that will be a very good approximation. You'll have to add the change fee on as well.

But the difference will not be proper taxes (APD is the same for PE and UC) but the VS surcharges.

We upgraded PE to UC MCO to MAN a month ago, a couple of days before the flight. The cost was 23,700 miles and about £250 each. I am interested if the monetary element is correct, as we were originally incorrectly charged 28,700 miles.

I’ve never paid more than £52 to upgrade PE to Upper one way + miles. So i’d Want to know more about how that £250 breaks down to be happy.

I suspect this is both ways? And maybe the Florida taxes are higher than I thought..?

The £250 was one way MCO to MAN from a K to UC. The agent appeared clueless, which is why I am curious whether this is correct.

IIRC I don't think K is an upgradeable fare code so you'd need to pay to have it changed to an upgradable one before upgrading.
