Got a 5 hour layover in Las Vegas and looking for some inspiration on what I might do to kill the time. Any Ideas? Preferably inside away from the 38deg heat.

Transferring from VS Upper to DL First, same itinerary and I have GE.

I don't think there is a Sky Club in LAS, or indeed any other lounge that would grant me access I don't think?

Airport slots have the worst odds! A friend of mine managed to get to the strip and back during a 4 hour layover. I think you can manage it with 5 :-)

If you have a platinum Amex, then its free entry into their Centurion lounge. A couple of Priority Pass lounges in there too.

Otherwise a taxi to somewhere close would do. It might be too hot, but sitting outside at the Yardhouse at Town Square (close to the airport), has the great view of planes coming into land over your head about 500 feet, on some days. It was when we were there, but it was windy so it might have been an alternative approach.

Otherwise the usual casinos are close by as long as they don't "tunnel you" (take you the long way via the freeway for $10 more).

Use uber or lyft and you wont get tunnelled , its about twenty bucks to the strip and will take 20 mins.

I would got to the Chandelier Bar in the Cosmopolitan Hotel , great drinks and a wonderful place to people watch and chat for a couple of hours and flit back to the airport. Cocktails are about $18 each but well worth it.

Pinball hall of fame is VERY near the airport (or was when we visited at Christmas). Highly reccomend, and better than slots in my opinion at least ;)
