As per Head for Points

The revivals spa is to close as of 12th August as part of a refurb of the lounge and will be replaced by 2 additional showers (so 20 instead of 18).

I'm not surprised really. In all the years I'm been flying VS and used Revivals at LHR, I don't think I've ever used the Spa there.

I can't say I am surprised to read this news either. Spa treatments are better suited to the Clubhouse on passengers outbound flight when they are more likely to arrive early & have time for a treatment.

I thought the whole idea of Revivals was to maximise your sleep time on the aircraft - and you then went to Revivals for a shower & breakfast before heading into work / continuing your onward journey.

If my memory serves me right, many moons ago at Manchester UC passengers could get discounted use of the health club facilities in the Radisson Blue for their post-flight shower. Take-up must not have been great as it didn't last long.

I for one will miss it. I use the spa every chance I get. I like to get a quick manicure before heading out.

We have only used Revivals a handful or so of times, but really enjoyed the Spa, so we’re sorry to see it go. Especially as I had planned a nice treat after our HKG flight early next year.

I do use Revivals all the time when I'm landing at LHR before 13:00, just not the Spa in there. Just a shower & breakfast for me usually.

Interesting that when you fly Delta One into LHR, you are actually given an info card about LHR which amongst other things; mentions Revivals. Yet nothing is usually mentioned about Revivals when arriving on VS flights!?

On my last VS flight into London, the crew were actively plugging Revivals. When they were taking breakfast cards, they were asking if pax had heard of revivals, and then bigging it up. Perhaps to reduce breakfast prep on board?! ;)
