Looking for Upper upgrade to / from MCO

Have just booked 2 adults to / from MCO next May in Premium.

looking to try for Upper upgrade ideally with miles. What is the best way to check and how frequently?

Advice from v-flyer experts welcomed.

fare code H. flying club agent said we could upgrade, checking regularly but I was not sure how frequently I should check

You didn’t say what dates you were looking for but in the image below all the dates highlighted in blue have 2 UC reward seats available LGW-MCO. This is using rewardflights.com.

Thank you. Out 4 May back 28 May. Following an earlier reply, I found exactly the same story. Will keep looking.
At least we have two seats in the bubble if not able to upgrade.

If you booked within the last 24 hours, you can change your booking with no penalty... With that said, there are 2 UC seats on May 3rd if your plans allowed.

Flexibility is always the key for upgrades! If your sticking with the dates you have already booked then I suggest signing up for alerts to get notifications IF upgrades become available. There’s a cost involved and a chance no seats appear though

Thank you for the advice. Although we are within the 24 hr window, Sunday is not really an option for us. We have Premium seats so will take a chance on upgrades appearing later and will check the reward flight finder regularly.

Be aware though, Reward flight finder are having problems at the mo.
It's 4 days since my dates were checked and this is on the website:

"Saturday 10th August 2019: We're having issues looking up Virgin availability at the moment. We're looking into this and will come back with an update tomorrow (Sunday).

When I upgrade with miles (which I have managed to do several times to MCO in Upper) I check on the virgin site doing a dummy one way booking using miles. I would check up to six times a day starting before 6 a.m.
It is a route where reward seats go very quickly when released. If a seat shows I'm straight on the phone.
