VS upgrading eldest passenger of every flight over Chrstmas!

Picked this rather lovely story from one mile at a time

In essence a passege (Jack) gave up their Upper seat so a passenger (Rose) in economy could have a treat. VS then decided to upgrade the eldest passenger (if space is availble) on every flight over the Christmas and New Year period.

Cue lots of 'ooosss and ahaas' about Jack doing a lovely thing.

Also cue lots of hysterical comments about not giving up their seat (not what VS are doing) and having an upgrade denied to them becauase VS does something nice for someone else.

Well.... we were on board VS76 MCO to MAN on Xmas eve.

FSM came on the tannoy saying that a young man in UC had given up his seat for an 88 year old lady (we presumed this had happened on our flight) and because of this Sir RB was upgrading lucky passengers and so a couple were picked from the economy cabin, presumed they were upgraded to PE....

We weren’t overly bothered as we’d managed to bag a row of three seats each so had plenty of room to stretch out.

All good stuff.
