So I have booked my first ever ex-eu trip today. Managed to bag a return in upper from Dublin to Orlando for £1,400 for July this year (which certainly seems a good deal compared to upper prices out of Manchester/London).

Firstly - thanks to the regulars posters on here who have helped make me aware of these fares over the past year or so.

Secondly (and the actual auestion) - my exact booking is DUB-LCY / LGW-MCO. Between landing at LCY and taking off at MCO I have 5 hours. My understanding is that as I’m on one ticket I will be covered if something causes me to miss the second flight. Is there anything else I need to be aware of though in this case as it involved a change of airport. Or would I be covered in ny event?

Thanks in advance!

The only thing I can think of is that if you have any bags then you need to get them from LCY to LGW yourself

If you are also flying LCY-DUB then there is a left lugagge facility at LCY - you need to go to the info desk to get a receipt and they will give you directions - instead of takign your bags to DUB

If you are going to LGW by public transport then I would take the DLR to Woolwich Arsenal, train to London Bridge and change there to LGW. It is all step free with lifts and / or escalators. And it's all on contactless as well - just remember the usual check in / outs

I think you would need to show that there was major issue on your trip such as train meltdown in which case take some screen shots of national rail departures etc and you made efforts to get there on time

As Tonty says if you encounter issues keep VS informed and gather supporting evidence, below is the element within the conditions of carriage agreement;

(d) If you are unable to take your flights in the agreed sequence due to a legitimate change in circumstances (including an Event Beyond Your Control) and you contact us in advance of your journey, we will honour any onward or return journeys if you provide us with proof (to our reasonable satisfaction) of such a change and you will not be required to pay any additional charges
