Good morning from San Francisco.

After a few days of complete relaxation and some amazing dining options in Palm Springs, I'm now in San Francisco and thought I'd give the Virgin Hotel a try....so far so good :-D

I generally always stay in this area when here as I normal pick the InterContinental which is just round the corner.

The room is amazing. Got a room upgrade to a corner room with amazing views of the city. I'm going to try my luck with the free breakfast shortly as well; both of which are perks of being Flying Club Gold. Silver apparently also gives you just the room upgrade.

All Flying Club members earn 1000 miles per stay as well. You need to enter your FC number into your 'The Know' profile (which is the hotel loyalty program) or just quote your FC number when booking and checking-in.

The free WiFi is also insanely fast.

I will be paying a mandatory visit to the roof bar as well later which is rumoured to be pretty spectacular

The free breakfast is also pretty much anything you want from either the grab and go coffee bar or the full service sit down Commons Club as well :-D

All the details about the Flying Club earnings / perks can be found here

Joining the free loyalty program also gives you a 20% discount on room rates.

You had me at "perks of being Flying Club Gold"

Looks really nice too. I rarely have reason to be in SFO, but have spent quite some time at the HRH in Las Vegas, which is going to be another Virgin Hotel. So I am keen to keep an eye on your feedback.

Enjoy!
