Cancelling reward flights

If I cancel an UC reward flight what will I get back. Do I get the taxes etc back as well as the miles or will I have to do a dummy booking for sometime in the future and pay a change fee. If I do cancel I would be looking to next May before I would be able to fly again so would need to wait until June to rebook.
