What’s the thoughts that man-las will be added back to the schedule again in the next 12-18 months? I booked a package on this route 5 days before they dropped it. I’m told I’ll be most likely moved all the way to lhr instead, but it’s a major route not really serviced direct anymore since the collapse of Thomas cook. Seems they are missing a major opportunity .

I hope so. I believe it was popular and there aren't many LAS flights from the UK as a whole, so having one from outside of London was a big plus in my eyes.

Frankly, if MAN/LHR to Islamabad is on their route list... i'd be mega surprised if a seasonal MAN/LAS didn't return.

The MAN-LAS flight was only 2x weekly - think it was Thursday and Monday. I know the flights lent themselves to Hen / Stag weekends in Vegas and as a result the flights had a certain reputation amongst crew. Bars being drunk dry less than halfway into the flight were far from uncommon.

That said, I can see the route returning even if only back to the 2x weekly on a seasonal basis. As has been said above, there are very few direct flights to Vegas and an option that is not from London would appeal to a lot of people.

I think Vegas is the third largest convention venue in the USA - so there could potentially be good demand for the forward cabins on this route - either from business travellers (when business travel resumes) or gamblers. If someone is going to Vegas to lose a lot of money on the tables, they may well want to travel there and back in a bit of comfort.

Really keeping everything crossed that they do. I was booked to fly on a Tuesday next summer. Luckily, my holiday dates will remain the same as the flight I’ll be reprotected onto from lhr offers flights on the same dates. This was my first time ever booking upper class , so I’m just relieved I’ll still get there as planned in the same cabin. It certainly didn’t make sense when they dropped it.

To add to this, VS’s Chief Commercial Officer has stated in twitter that MAN-DEL “ is still in our future plans. We had to delay it due to covid19 pandemic“.

This is subject to VS surviving but if DEL remains in VS’s plans at MAN I think it is reasonable to presume that LAS is as well.

Phew, at least one worry is now sorted. I was about to call VA to enquire about my flights as my VH app still shows man-las with no airline reference . I just happened to log into VA and I’ve been auto moved over to LHR and was able to select my seats. Can’t lie, I’m still peeved that I’ve had no communication whatsoever from virgin that the route was dropped or that they are moving me etc. If I hadn’t read it in these forums I’d never have known. This will be my first time in upper class and Ive selected Seats 3&4a. Are these decent seats? I was after a more private/quiet seat for sleeping if I chose to during the flight.
