I’ll try and keep this brief
Mr DL was booked on a flight back from Oz today . This has been cancelled numerous times since the original return date ( originally May) . Booked with VS directly and originally via HKG with the onward flight HKG to SYD with VA This got swapped a while back to a return via LAX with DL as VA pulled all international routes.
He travelled down to Sydney last night having checked in for the DL flight without issue in the morning.
He’s woken up in his hotel room to an email that tells him his flight is cancelled ( again) .
What are his options.
He’s AU (not that it seems to make any difference .....).
I haven’t seen him in 11 months and am totally strung out .....
Thanks,
DL

Total bummer. I feel for you.

There are flights operating, for example Japan Airline to Haneda and BA to London. Qatar is still operating via Doha. Check out all the options and present VS with a routing and an option to get him home - let them respond. That's one tactic.

Thanks slinky,
I’ve already sent him the Qatar option. He’s trying to get through to Flying Club. at the moment .Do VS HAVE to sort this debacle out ( whatever option that might end up being) ??
Hope you and the #1 are ok :).

It should reallly be DL (the airline not you!) to sort out as this is an on the day cancellation.
