Of course you can get merchandise designed, then take expressions of interest. Final order placed once payment received from those who want to buy. Some merchandisers will also take the risk themselves, but it hits profit hard and volume here too limited (?)

Just an FYI,those shirts were made in the USA,dont know how much they would cost to produce in the UK and there was a min. order number, dont think we can ask Pete to buy 50 shirts then be stuck wearing 30 of them for the next couple of years.

Well I for one would be more than happy to pre-order one and wait for a bulk to be ordered before Pete el al actually ordering the items. I am sure we could make something like this work.

Been burnt a bit in the past by stock items. Such as the lapel pins which are now given away as part of the membership kit or the 100+ aircraft models I thought were a good plan... ;)

There is, of course, the current range of branded items for which CafePress actually do all the work and carry the risk. Those don't exactly shift, though, so I'm not seeing much demand for a polo shirt at the moment.

Don't get Cafepress to do your polo shirts, I have done this elsewhere and the quality of the print is not good. I think their print process is best deigned for hard surfaces (mouse mats, badges etc)

Pete wasn't saying he'd get CafŽpress to do the Polo shirts - just that the demand for the stuff available on CafŽpress is low so it is no incentive to expand :). Agree tho' - my "When come back bring Pie" didn't last many washes...

Wonder if it breaks any rules on eBay or anything?

Would love to see the array of queries from bidders at any rate!

Im getting ready to pull the ad,to much BS for what was meant as a light hearted joke in which Sarah knew what was going on,guess some people just dont get that somethings are done in fun and not meant to be a dig against anyone, shame as the two peole involved in putting it up thought it was funny.

edit: Just to make it clear Both LRoM and LSoM had no problems with this, since im running short on time and ebay is not the best site to figure out how to pull ad's i've replaced the original picture with a new one.

Ok boys & girls, let's get right back on topic please - which is (in case you'd forgotten) the Dubai "pop-up" ads. Pete's stated he's sorted the problem, so let's limit this discussion to any problems with that.

Thanks
