Good as she’s not in the best condition. Flew back from JFK on KSS yesterday and several IFE’s weren’t working in J, my armrest in 10A was broken and I had to ram a magazine down the side of it to get it to stay down when the seat was in bed mode. There was also a random piece of plastic which I guess came off the seat somewhere was also sticking out the side of the seat cushion near the seat belt!

With the problems James detailed above, fingers crossed she will be gone by the time I come back from the east coast in Apr.
I’d be surprised if she was around next April. They might keep her if any of the others need to be taken out for maintenance.
If they are retiring them now based on their condition I’m sure G-VINE will be one of the next ones to follow after all the reviews about the gaffer tape on the seats.

I flew her yesterday in seat 10A on VS109 and had the same issue as James although I did mention it to the FSM at the end of the flight when he gave me my coat back from the closet. Woke up with 10.000 points in my account. It only bothered me when I was in bed mode. MAN crew were brilliant as always despite not having the newest planes in the fleet.
My mate said KSS should be gone by 27/02/25.
Interestingly he also said that SXY should be gone by 23/02/25 and GEM by the middle of April?

Given that EYR and PIE are being delivered soon, two retirements make sense, but three seem a weird move. KSS and SXY leaving the fleet around the same time would make sense. GEM leaving too at the start of the summer season seems very odd.

I think they are expecting one delivery next year of the Neo , perhaps explains another retirement
Yeah it’s a 1-1 replacement now I just hope VS109 gets a NEO towards the end of next year because it really needs it 261 pax the day i flew so almost full.

Can’t see how putting a NEO on there will make a difference? There are 2 less seats on the NEO than the 330 CEO.
I believe the A339's also have proper crew rest areas/bunks unlike the A333's which does also determine which routes they can/can't op on.
Shocking that on my flight home last week from JFK, because it was full/over-sold; the crew had to make do with the cabin floor next to door 2

That’s good to hear that upper is full but not fair on VS crews at the same time. Interestingly VS110 will have both the A350 and A339 this week but not on the day I’m travelling.

It's the high-J config A350 as well. The VS127 is op'ing using an A350 tomorrow as well though that's showing the low-J config A350.
(you have to use the Delta website now to still see seat maps before booking).

G-VJAM is op’ing VS74 tonight and will then be doing VS127 tomorrow.
They are probably using A339s and A350s at MAN this winter season due to the increasing number of issues with the A333s. There seemed to be issues with VS127 today, G-VGEM had to get sent up from LHR and swapped out with G-VWAG.

I’m on VS110 tomorrow and was hoping for a late swop oh well maybe next time.
