The physical space for the lounge is already there, and unoccupied. When I was in LAX a few weeks ago I had a nose around and couldn't see much.

I'd expect it to be reasonably on time with opening.

In the meantime, the Star Alliance lounge is still being used and isn't completely terrible. Theres showers, nice toilets, plenty of seating, some outdoor space and buffet food. If you want something more substantial, you can always go to PF Changs on the next level down.

Second what ComdB says above

I like the *A lounge. Admittedly I rarely eat in any lounge but for beverages and views it takes a bit to beat. The outdoor patio is very cool indeed (this fire pits, bar (sometimes open, sometimes not) water fall wall etc . Robots move around to take away your empty glasses and the bar inside is great to sit at and while trying the new gins they invariably temp me with ; staff alway seem great there too ! Much better than the old Air NZ lounge VS used to send you to - that was truly awful IMHO

Great thanks

So the Star Alliance lounge isnt bad for a 4-5 hour stopover between flights with 2 kids. Although a brand new VA lounge always going to be best option.
