Tier Point Run?

Never thought I would be asking this but due to personal circumstances we have just had to cancel our trip booked last December. We have 395 Tier Points each and need to be at 400 by end of November to retain Silver.

This was not a thing I was concerned about previously but if I drop to Red then the value of the Companion Voucher is now halved.

Anyone suggest how to get those five Tier Points?

Any shorthaul AF or KL flight in economy earns 10 TP’s each way. Just make sure it’s the right fare code and is operated by AF or KL themselves.

Not sure where are are based by maybe something like LHR>CDG return. I can see light fares from ~£173 same day return. MAN>CDG is about £200 return. Light fares do seem to book you in required fare codes to earn TP’s.

Another option is KLM LHR>AMS or MAN>AMS for a similar price.

Second what James said. KLM/AF to CDG/AMS are pretty good value runs for tier points nowadays. I’ve done plenty of KLM/AF J tickets within Europe which have been good for my tier points.

Just make sure you book the right fare codes (refer to VS website for the list). There are some fare buckets that do not earn tier points.

is it only revenue fares that collected tier points on Air France and KLM or do reward fares collected tier porins as well.

Yes, just revenue fares.

I just did a short weekend LHR- AMS-EDI last week to collect a final 20 tier points and stayed one night in Leiden. If you book online rather than on app you can see the fare code before you make the booking.

Out in V and back in N and collected 10 tier points each way to get to Double Gold. KLM credited the tier points 2 days after each leg. I previously came unstuck with a flight in Business that ended up being in O and got no tier points.

Leiden was great and only a short train from AMS.

Thanks James managed to get a last-minute deal on KLM. Only issue I'm having is KLM not liking my flying club number has anyone else had this issue?
