Trying to keep information as vague as possible. I am a frequent flyer, however, only started flying Virgin Atlantic in the past 12 months. I am currently Silver and on target to become Gold in January.

However, my last trip I booked through Virgin Holidays, and I now seem to be receiving daily Tier Points since I returned from my trip which will get me to Gold before the weekend at this rate.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I assume its a glitch and will rectify itself. However, if it doesn't I will report it when I next speak to the team at either Virgin Holidays or Virgin Atlantic. Last thing I want is my account banned because I some how end up with 20k Tier Points by my renewal date or something!

If you accumulate anything like this many tier points, it puts you way off the scale for WINGS membership (the hidden level above Gold). Someone will look at your flying club account and see where the points came from & were they "legit". If they are not from a US based credit card - which can earn tier points - it will be flagged & expect your account to be adjusted.

I know people have had the occasional double-credit from Virgin Holidays - and if it is just one additional credit, just keep quiet.

That is my concern. I will very likely obtain 2k Tier Points easily a year as my business travel has moved from BA to Virgin Atlantic/Delta however getting say 50 tier points every day for the last week is probably not great if it continues indefinitely. I am hoping it stops by this weekend.
