MAN to LHR. LHR to CPT. quick clarification

I really should know the answer to this but it has been a few years since we flew BA from MAN to LHR then caught a Virgin flight international. We travel Dec 18, arrive at T5 and then need to get to T3 and of course spend a little time in the Clubhouse as we are UC. Do we just follow the purple Connection signs and catch one of the buses to T3 ? Do we need to pass through Security at T3 ? Does UC have a separate Security channel ? Many thanks.

It will depend on if it’s all one booking and if your bags will get checked all the way from MAN to your final destination?

If it’s separate bookings you will need to collect your bags at LHR T5 then make your way landside to T3 and check-in with VS.

If it’s all on 1 booking and your bags are checked to your final destination, you will be able to use the transfer bus. Not sure if you will need to go though security again inT3 though sorry? If you do though there’s will be nothing other than possibly a fast track lane.

Thanks Mitchja. Yes it's BA then VS and we are hand luggage only so at least we don't have to worry about the luggage transfer bit. Your clarification is really helpful. Thanks for deleting my 'extra' posts if it as you. My MacBook was just showing a blank screen each time I posted.
