Many moons ago - think like at least 15 years ago, if not more, Virgin did have an agreement with one of the airport hotels (pretty sure it was the Radisson Blu as it's connected to T2) that Upper Class passengers could use their leisure club facilities to shower and change on arrival. As Mitchja says, this is no more.

Yet another example of how Virgin treat their premium cabin passengers at whet they proudly call "their home in the North" in any press release. No private security wing (MAN Fast Lane is NOT priority). No Clubhouse (1903 Lounge will do). No Arrivals facilities. I would not mind if the MAN fares were cheaper than LHR - but they are not... often MAN can be a couple of quid more expensive. It is well known that the LHR passenger service fees are very high, so on paper it looks like Virgins' "customers in the North" are subsidising the LHR operation.

Yep hate to break it to you VS don’t care about MAN pax. There was a real opportunity for VS to work with MAG at the start of their transformation program to build in some of these features. Like a private check in, Longe etc but Shia’s penny pinching has taken full effect. The money that was put a side for the MAN clubhouse has now gone to the LAX clubhouse fit out.

Even things like not having champagne and duty-free on flights is poor both FSM on my most recent flights seemed very frustrated that they were getting old and broken planes. I’m told thats the reason the NEO keeps making an appearance on MCO and ATL flights because the post flight customer reviews have gone through the floor.

Totally agree.
I do like flying from LHR due to clubhouse and routes available.
But MAN is much more preferable for me as family live close by.
Plus, while smoking is bad health - MAN have smoking area post security. And I don’t mind the 1903 lounge.

However, the points price for MAN flights now have sky rocketed albeit a few ATL flights I haven seen for 29k each way in UC.

But the old tired A333s are simply in a bad state. And need to go asap, but won’t be fully gone by 2028 Q1.. and MAN don’t operate B787. So at least then MAN should have A350 and A339 post 2028 Q1.
