From the VS home page click on ‘Holidays’ then click the ‘Find out more’ on the double tier points banner. There’s a FAQ section as well.

Unfortunately this offer only applies to new bookings though.

Although this seems to mean their previous offer of 20 tier points per £500 spent is now gone.
So for a £2500 holiday, you would previously receive 100 tier points & virgin points in addition to the points gained from the flight, so for economy 50 tier points each way, making a total of 200 tier points.

Now although you would also get 200 tier points from this new deal, and all travellers would also get this deal, solo travellers spending more than £2500 will be missing out? And unless you spend £4000, and only on the first holiday - you won't be rewarded as much for £2500+ spend?

Indeed; I was looking to make hotel only bookings and now it seems you get 0 tier points now.
