MPC was a blessing when I used it last year. Quicker in MCO for sure, when you arrive at the same time as an Aeromexico flight.
Heard JFK are still funny about it, and don’t seem to acknowledge it exists.
Would recommend filling all the details out in the UK and then you only have to take your photo when taxi-ing on the plane.
I’ve used this multiple times in MCO, JFK and MIA. Works every time, have never waited longer than 2 minutes at any of the airports including JFK. I’m not sure where you have heard that about JFK but I can assure you they are well aware of it, at least in Terminal 4 and 7.
I had really bad trouble at JFK last year using it. No line at all. Got to the desk, handed passports over and showed the app. The officer was awful; shouted at us and forced us to go to the international line - ( which by then was backed up). Saying we don’t have the right passports , it’s not for us etc etc. my passport is UK, partners is Belgium, both been to USA multiple times before.
Luckily helper on the floor came over and escorted us to the front of the int. queue as by then we had tight connection as well (as BOS direct flight cancelled, so had to go LHR-JFK-BOS).
That incident made me apply for GE and got it all
Sorted on that trip.
So when we arrived at Miami Airport last November , I was through in 2 minutes and partner using MPC in under 10 minutes.

It definitely seems a bit dodgy at JFK. This thread was from a few months ago: viewtopic.php?t=301628
The family used it at MIA last year and I used GE. They were through in the same time as I was !
Thank you anybody used it in Orlando ? Heading there in September
I am in a Orlando forum on FB and it’s always mentioned. Saves a lot of time from what I have heard at MCO. But it also depends on how many are using it and how busy immigration line is.
Quick report from TPA on VS129 yesterday. MPC line was clearly signed, though the employee verbally directing people was only differentiating between US and non-US passport holders.
It was very fast. The officer had a problem with people having their phone out as they approached, I get it, but having an app does rather lend itself to people wanting to show they have been directed to the MPC line via the app. Appreciate it's the facial rec that proves it from the officers perspective.
All said made it smoother, though baggage reclaim was immediately behind the booths, and to be honest I think most people in the regular line were though before the baggage
. Even upper class baggage. So my summary is that it worked well, very slick but not mandatory at an airport like Tampa which is slick anyway.
Was a good test that can travel on same MPC with family who have a new ESTA (though have had them in the past) and me on an ESTA entered on previously.
