When to book to maximise TPs

Can anyone help me get my head around the TP year with VA.

I've retained silver for this year 'Your Silver membership will renew on 31 December 2025.' Therefore I know if I get 600 more TPs I get gold. But I'm happy to just keep Silver.

I've three returns I need to book, a set in November, then more in Feb and March.

My question is whether the TP's I would earn from November would count towards me getting silver again in 2026, or whether they would not count because my TP membership year starts again in Jan. So therefore it'd be smarter for me to do the Feb & March trips as UC rewards, thus hitting 400 TPs for another year of silver, and just fly PE in Nov as the TPs aren't going to be useful.

If you are happy to keep your Silver status then any TP's earned before 31st Dec 2025 will only count towards this year's membership as as you have already retained your Silver status, there's not much to be gained (other than the TP's counting towards earned Gold status).

Any TP's earned after 31st Dec 2025 will then count towards renewing your 2026 membership.

As a side note - if you are looking to reach Gold status, it's worth remembering that the 1000 TP's required for that need to be earned within any continuous 12 month period, however, that 12 month window doesn't have to be the same as your current membership year.
