Just wondering if anyone has any experience of VS91 and specifically the 8.20 am departure time.

We will be staying at the Sofitel at T5 the evening before. What time does the Heathrow express start ? , what time does the clubhouse open and how does being served “lunch” at nine thirty in the morning work. ?

Managed to bag some upper seats for 82,000 miles so,I guess it’s worth the inconvenience but it’s gonna be an interesting flight I’m guessing.

Thanks in advance

We are flying on the VS91 in September in Upper, would like to know will it be a reverse menu of breakfast first then lunch before we land at 13.30ish USA time ?

Thanks,

Hi David,
We fly out on the 12th, clubhouse opens at 6am prompt, that should give you a good 90 minutes before boarding. The last time we flew so early they served a nice breakfast first then a full meal service 2hrs from landing

I did this flight in April and will again in September. I loved getting into Orlando just after lunch but it was a very early start, even for a lark like me.

I think the clubhouse is open before 0600 with these early departures. Whilst not published, I rocked up about quarter to in April and found it open and some people sat having breakfast (so they had been there at least a few minutes before me)

Yes, unfortunately they are serving the 4 course lunch at 0930...lots of people were asking the crew if they could wait a bit but they can't because of the scheduling of their workload in the flight. I think a LOT of people have fed this back to Virgin (myself included) but as usual, when it comes to food offerings, they have selective hearing. Personally I was disappointed they had stopped brunch (despite advertising it on an email sent the week before the flight). In fairness I did make a pretty good attempt at eating it all having got up at 0400 to get to Heathrow!

Enjoy! :D
