Membership years and tier renewal

I am confused by a message in my account and I've never been confident I fully understand membership years.

As the image states, my membership year ends at the end of September. I have qualified for gold already for my next membership year (Oct 2025 to Sep 2026), my 9th gold year in a row.

I thought that to qualify for my 10th year, I would have to collect the usual 1,000 TPs from Oct 1st 2025 to Sept 30th 2026. However, the message in the blue box in the image suggests that tier points earned between now and end of this Sept 2025 might also count towards qualifying for gold again in my next membership year?

Can anyone clarify with any certainty what the message means? I tried asking an agent using online chat, but they didn't seem to know.

Mine says exactly the same. My membership cycle is also identical to yours though you are 2 years in front of me for GFL

You are correct. The bit in the blue box is the confusing bit, which really doesn't need to be there. You will still need to earn a further 1000 TP's after October 1st to maintain your Gold status for another year. On October 1st your TP's will reset to 0 again.

I also maintain a spreadsheet for my flights / TP earnings as that way I can keep track of my pure VS tier points vs. partner airline tier points (which don't count towards GFL). Flying Club staff will also be able to give you this figure as they can view that info on your account.
