Viewing the seating plans?

I've just tried to look at seat availability for our return flight options next year and I feel like I am missing something, but have they changed the system so that now you can only see the seating plan if you click through almost to the final booking stage?

I wanted to look becuase so far there are no decent points prices for any of our options so I wanted to understand just how booked up certain flights/cabins were, but it is taking forever having to click through each time? Many thanks if anyone knows of a quicker way to see this!

Correct! On the website desktop you can only now see the aircraft type. It’s only at checkout you see the seat plan.

Best way forward is to check on the app the seat plan!

Seat plans will never show you how busy a flight is. We’re weirdly in the minority booking our seats. If you want to see loads, you’ll need to use ExpertFlyer or similar. EF has gone downhill lately so I wouldn’t recommend it.

Cheers, would those booking PE and UC not tend to book seats? I get this for EC if you have to pay extra but surely when it's included people would want to bag the seats? I can also see how this works for more business-oriented destinations where travel is booked for people but I was hoping for MCO that it would be fairly accurate!

Either way, for our dates I'm pretty sure that I can forget any decent points seats in PE or UC based on the seats that are already blocked out!

People who book travel through agents or other third parties often aren't able to choose their seats until the flights are ticketed, which can be as late as 7 days prior to the flight

VegasVictor, that is accurate. When I made a reservation through a third-party website last summer, I experienced the identical problem: I was unable to choose my seat until my tickets were delivered. When you want to know how full the cabin is before making a commitment, it can be a little annoying.
