Called up to apply the voucher to earlier booking last night - a few minutes on the phone - booking was for a total of 150000 so got that halves
Checked Amex this morning, and the £100 has been deducted from the "taxes", so that will help reduce the impact of Donald introducing a foreigners' tax on visitors to National Parks. (Hoping to visit Yosemite and Sequoia)... in one hand and out the other

It doesn't matter which channel you use to book though it does need to be booked direct with VS and not via a travel agent or flight consolidator.
The only exception are VS Holidays bookings that include VS flights which can be upgraded using VS vouchers.
