Reward flight cancellation

I know you lose 25% of your miles for cancelling but is there a time limit before the flight? i.e. can I cancel the day before and still only lose 25%?

If I remember rightly is you cancel less then 7 days before the flight you lose the whole lot.

Yes, indeed you do lose 100% of your miles within the 7 day deadline but what the nice lady at FC did for me was cancel my trip but leave the ticket open for 12 months from the day of booking so, I still have my UC return to use at a later date.
