I had never heard of this airline until we just took a last minute skiing trip to France. A budget charter airline we flew out of Birmingham to Lyon a 1 hour 25 minute flight. Unbelievably we received a cooked breakfast which consisted of a full size sausage, bacon, hash brown and an ommelette. It was excellent. How many scheduled airlines provide this as I can't remember getting it for years.
Another interesting feature was the remainder of the items we got were served in a brown paper bag which was complete with a mini dustbin liner which hung on the back of the seat in front. This seemed to work excellently as when we left the plane there was absolutely no rubbish etc left on the floor, seat back pockets or seats.
Well done European and I certainly will have no qualms flying shorthaul with them again.

Hi Tony,

I'm guessing you mean these guys. They used to (and sometime still do) store a lot of their planes at Bournemouth Airport. They specialise in charters for holiday companies, etc. and I've heard a lot of good reports.

Incidentally, the level of service you receive onboard is prescribed by those chartering the aircraft, not EAL - so it was the holiday company that came good in this case [y].

For a company with no "public face", they certainly fly a lot on behalf of other people... ;)

Preiffer.
Thanks for that info. I thought there was something different about them but I couldn't work it out. The staff seemed just to professional and smartly dressed for a standard budget airline. Oh well you learn something new every day.

Still nice to get this level of service. What aircraft where you on?

Paul.
Just a 737 200 I believe. Not particularily new but with the old style soft cloth seating as against the new hard leather ones.
