Both reports suggest that the victim ( a person who "worked inside the casino") was the intended target of the explosive device and that this was not a terrorist act.

Far too early to speculate on motive at this stage.

It's all over the news here (we missed it having left our hotel at 6:30am to get to a conference session this morning!) but the primary concern seemed to be that traffic was still running smoothly up and down the strip! [:0]

There are priorities in life Paul..a good smooth morning run into work is one of them.

This is getting stranger and stranger..it turns out the person that worked at a hot dog stand.The police think they know who did it, but no details have been released yet.

Great, it's all kicking off 5 days before we arrive in LAS[ii]

Seems to be a habit of ours when taking holidays. Bombs in India 2 weeks before we arrived last year, hurricaine in Barbados 3 days into our holiday before that.
Oh well...

I wouldn't worry about it, it seems to be more of a grudge thing than anything else, the police have been very clear in saying this is not terrorist related.
