Well, there is no snow out here in West Oxfordshire, just a light frost. [y]

It IS freezing cold though so suspect we may have a fall tonight.

According to BBC - there is for London - a heavy dump mid evening so with any luck the gritters and ploughs will get it sorted by morning.

A link from the BBC website is entitled 'Motorists warned after Yorkshire snow'. Is this a special sort of snow, in the manner of Yorkshire tea?

It is indeed. Slightly deeper, slightly crisper, and just a little more even than your standard, non-Yorkshire snow.
