I got a very prompt response to my email, and got a completely nonsense response, which said my tickets had been purchased outside of the window, despite evidence saying they had in fact been purchased many months beforehand.

The admin at airpassengerefund is appalling.

The issue is, there is no-one who regulates this. They have the pot of cash and appear to be hanging onto it.

I'll switch to emailing them with the scanned evidence and fill their mailbox, that may not help, but it will make me feel better ;-)

So, I sent an email, re-stating when the tickets were purchased, without any evidence, they now say they have checked their records and agree that both need to be paid, and a cheque will be sent in around 8 weeks.

So considering, I've written in twice, Sep 08 and Oct 09, and chased on the phone in Dec 09 and Feb 10, and got nowhere, my advice to people is to email.

That way you actually get told something, a cynic would say that perhaps they are only paying out people who persistantly chase them......

I have sent copies of my missing tickets, and have been told a second time that 'Payments will be made periodically until the 31st Dec 2012 to people who have made a valid claim'

Despite their inadequacy in processing my application, from Sep 2008, this is the best information I can get out of them.

Does anyone else have the same problem ?
Who can I complain to ? As it appears they have 77M quid and they are holding onto as much of it as they can for as long as they can.

Who regulates these people ?

Bizzarely I had another letter about a week ago (a month after my complaining email to them) saying that my payment was being processed (same as the original letter I received)[:?]. Lets see if I get the extra 50+ quid that Mr DL received for the same flights taken as me? TBH I think they're just making up settlement figures willy nilly.

Another cheque today for 16.09. Still well short of the extra 50 Mr DL had for the same flights [V]. Like I said willy nilly figures.
