Does a G fare (Upper Reward) allow Revivals Lounge access?

I know it allows Clubhouse, and I assumed it allowed Revivals, but after looking at this: the-toolbox/fare-codes?code=G it isn't explicitly stated in there like it is for all of the other Upper fare codes.

as long as your arrival into LHR is on a G too i.e. you flew UC. there is no distinction made between a paid or reward fare

Oh is closes at 13.30 so as long as your on a morning arrival it will be open.

Bear in mind that Revivals closes at 13:30, so if you are on, say, VS24, you won't be able to use it.

Also if you are to make it, book any treatment as soon as you arrive, as available slots fill very quickly..

I will be arriving on VS22 at 07:30, and I need to find a way to kill a good part of the morning, so I'll be taking full advantage of this lounge.

I've been on a G twice (coincidentally both from IAD) and both times been into Revivals .... Wonderful place!

no its not, i struggle to spend much more than an hour there. once you've showered & had breakfast there's nothing else to do other than read the papers or watch telly. the showers are very nice though, & spotlessly clean, you get your own bathroom with hand basin, tolet & walk-in shower

Yes revivals is not the CH but it IS a much nicer place (well until it closes) to wait than in main departures if waiting for an onward flight (and you dont have lounge acess for that flight) or in main arrivals if waiting to be collected.

Like Mandy, we've used it twice and really enjoyed it both times. Though not a place to linger (and presumably designed so) it's a great place to decompress for a while and appreciate some quiet service and a real coffee and bacon sandwich...

It really is an in-and-out place where a quick departure is the expectation and indeed the norm. Shower, food, out! However from time to time there are people like myself who are lingering waiting for connections.

On one of my recent trips Aer Lingus had cancelled my original flight making it a five instead of a three hour connection. I was the only one there after the passengers on the first bank of early morning flights had gone and I got the impression I was distinctly in the way as they set up for the mid-morning flights - VS8, 10, 20 and whatever else comes in at that time of day

There is an exception of which I was unaware until recently. As I was leaving revivals, an elderly couple were being refused entry. They had been op-uped to UC (lucky) and were told they did not qualify to use revivals without paying. I thought reception handled this poorly as the crew had informed them they could lie in, miss breakfast service and get something in revivals instead.
Revivals was far from busy and still an hour or more from closing.

Revivals is great for me as I have to travel on to Belfast and the opportunity to have a leisurely shower, change clothes and have some freshly cooked food is fantastic. Would be interested to know how Air Canada Arrivals compares in case I need to come in Ec or Prem Ec next time.

The Air Canada arrivals lounge was sorely in need of a refurbishment when I used it, but that was in late 2009 - it may have been done by now. Still, they had showers and breakfast - not as good as VS, if I recall. But if you're getting in "free" with a Priority Pass - much better than emerging from Immigration & Customs and going straight onto the tube.
I have to say though, the BA T5 arrivals lounge is much much nicer than the VS arrivals facility. The showers are not as posh, but the general ambiance is good and the range of food etc just seems nicer to me. They're more relaxed and spacious. I think there is even a massage facility there.

This has always been the case (and the same for access to the CHs incidentally). The on board crew probably weren't aware that the passengers were op -ups as if they'd been op-upped at check in they'd have been issued purple BPs (and they probably hadn't told the crew that they were op-ups). Revivals has a full passenger list of those eligible for entry which they do check.

That is correct, is much the same way, if you are given an op-up you don't get access to the CH/lounge before the flight. To be fair the CC, they probably won't have know that they couple were given an op-up and would have presumed that as they were in UC they would be entitled to use revivals

No, an op-up has nothing to do with the G fare codes, so to your original point you are correct.
