Hi all, has anyone had any problems receiving miles and tier points on their Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, from a Virgin America flight?

I flew twice with Virgin America over three weeks ago. One was a day trip from LAX-SFO-LAX, specifically to get two FC points needed to retain Gold before my year end in November! Virgin America had my FC number for all flights.

I have tried emailing, using the form and phoning but can't get through. I initially put it down to the fact that they had migrated their system (from Gallileo to Sabre I think). I contacted Virgin Atlantic and they have tried their end but to no avail so far.

Anyone else found a similar problem?

Yep, me too.

Having said that there are a whole lot of miles and tier points due to me from different airlines and hotels so I can see myself sending in a whole wodge of forms, e-tickets and boarding passes once I get back into Ireland

The VX - VS system seems to have broken down (more IT scrimping?). In the past all my VX flights were credited to my FC account within a short period of time, no longer.

I'd keep persevering, especially as you need them!

I flew with VX in May and September and both times the miles and tier points were added within 30 days. I flew again in early October and this time there has been nothing added automatically, so yesterday I sent off a manual claim to Flying Club Support at Crawley.

It seems the system was working and as you suggest, the VX systems upgrade may have thrown a spanner in the works.

Flew VX in September and miles and tier points were credited within days, indeed they were on my flying club account before we flew back from th US. Maybe just lucky but anytime we've flown Virgin America the miles appeared quickly and hassle free!

Thanks all. The perseverance paid off in the end and VIrgin Atlantic updated my FC account for the return flight I queried after I sent them scans of my boarding passes.

However, a single leg taken a few days before on VX was NOT automatically credited. I do not have that boarding pass for that flight.

So if you are still waiting for a credit from October, I'd strongly suggest chasing!

My miles and TP have arrived too. It seems like they are processing them in a week to ten days from send off the paperwork. I expect they have quite a lot becuase of the troubles with the VX systems.
