Hi again, I wonder if anyone else has been tracking early 2012 fares with both BA & VS for travel to Los Angeles and have noticed the amazing price hike over the past 10 days.
I may be being cynical but it seems to me the fare price has steadily increased to allow for the usual forthcoming sale, just before Christmas. That way they can reduce prices and make it look a good deal.
I want to book a couple of PE seats anytime before 18th March so I can get to Las Vegas to see a Celine Dion concert. However I am in no hurry so thought I'd be totally flexible to get the best deal. I started watching fares a few weeks ago and then noted the prices rising from £838 to £932 and now stand at £1149, this being the same 'K' fare in PE from LHR to Los Angeles for mid-week flights. I bet that in a few weeks time, the fare will be reduced in the so called sale back down to £838.
I've always booked flights in the December/January sale and felt happy with the deals but coz I've tracked the fare prices with interest this year, its amazing fare sales are not always what they seem
. I remember this being mentioned on here not so long ago by a couple of 'Regulars'.
