I renewed my Gold membership at the end of January 2012 and have not yet received a renewal pack. I've called Virgin Atlantic Flying Club several times and had the following answers;
- we don't send out renewal packs
- it was sent in early January
- it will be with you three weeks after renewal date
Today's call handler told me that they don't re-issue membership cards and not to worry abouth the expiry date! When I asked about my membership renewal pack, the Heathrow and Gatwick Express vouchers and so-on, I was told this pack had now been scrapped and that all that was now sent out was a gold membership card and an envelope (he had no idea what was in the envelope). Apparently this was a new policy introduced in December. My new membership card has now been ordered.
Has anyone else had any problems recently or heard anything about this new policy? I've heard so many different reasons from the call handlers that I don't know what to expect. Will write to Virgin too but this seems like another blow to their regular flyers.
