:? :? well it might appeal to some travelling 'pairs' now the PE is mostly downstairs on the LGW flights. It certainly eliminates the worry of being stuck with another person on one side of a couple. Also an advantage for a family if you watch the ANZ video of the seat.

If I cannot 'request' PE in either the bubble or the window/aisle pair of seats - I would certainly opt for this :)

Of course, it'll be interesting to see what uptake there'll be of ANZ's new PE products when they license that. They said when they launched it that they foresaw licensing that product as being a big rev generator for them.

Cuddle Class is a Y product though and they only sell the CC seats to people booking together and who pay for all 3 seats in the CC config.

You are actually able to book it as a single traveler but you won't save that much on a saver J fare; that said, the 3rd seat is discounted slightly so it's not the exact equiv of buying 3 seats.

That would be a no-brainer for me. 1 x J seat for a little bit more than 3 x Y seats :w

I've said it before but this is not designed for the single traveller.

Well, precisely, hence the cuddle class tag. Interesting that it's selling well anyway. Wasn't sure it would.

The A340's can accommodate 9 across, which would work for this, but unlikely VS would be too popular if they chose the 'efficiency' layout of the A340: http://www.airbus.com/aircraftfamilies/passengeraircraft/a340family/a340-300/cabin-layout/

How does ANZ avoid 'inappropriate' behaviour in these seats ?
What about if your partner was same sex ? Some people (and countries) are still funny about this.

Didn't VS J start off as a double bed option - never tried it out but sounded interesting! :w

And of course there are the middle suites on SQ that can become double beds... very much against the spirit of anything 'mile high' related of course, because it only really counts when there is some sense of challenge... :w

That kind of thing polices itself, there's no way to get away with it in economy I would imagine, that and there's been no reports of that happening unlike the SQ suites.

I believe they handed a note (or simply asked them) to Pax reserving the 'double bed' asking them to refrain from coitus (as Sheldon would say), following a few early adopters of the SQ Suite Mile-high club. :0
