I always find it faintly hilarious how so many organisations shroud an elite upper membership tier in mystery in an attempt to make it more desirable. Which isn't to say that it doesn't work - clearly it does.
But do VS make UNIQs sign some sort of NDA then to keep the lid on the details? Or is there a collective sense that it's just not the done thing to talk about it to the lower ranks?

I do share the general curiosity about what baubles get added at 'around' the 100TP level, but as I've mentioned before, divorce is the only 'benefit' I'd get from flying that much in a year, so happy to stay within the AU ranks for now!

Even if you reach the level, there's no actual guide as to how it is achieved or how to retain it other than some very simple information. The number quoted above does not also appear to garner automatic membership and some other factors appear to be taken into account, such as Penny's comment. So I'm not being deliberately obstructive, I just don't know.
What I can say, is that VS can and do look after some of their most frequent fliers very well indeed.

If you go to the BAEC flyertalk board you learn all about Premiers, CCR cards, GGL etc, and I don't think that knowing about them in any way dilutes the prestige -- if anything, it just makes you think that 'wouldn't it be nice' if someday you could reach those exalted heights!

Is someone who earns 150TP's on partner airlines, or purely on low-bucket Z sale fares to Boston as valuable to the airline as someone who flies on full J's every month, but only enough to earn (say) 102TP's?
So from the airline's perspective, they can't *really* put a number on it. The generally accepted standard, however, is that once your account is above 100 you start to get their attention.

There's has to be some sort of 'Fight club/Don't talk about it', because you'd might know what the benefits are. At the moment, its no more than 'I am a UNIQ passenger'. No more miles? Perhaps a upgrade priority (If you are ever in a class lower than UC)?
Rumour has it, access to a pen in UC and special menu involving salad items with a savoury sauce....

Maybe it varies based on the individual, so what one person might get could be totally different to another? I honestly don't know, but I would have thought one of the perks of being a UNIQ is a more personalized and tailored level of service and benefit, which is obviously unique to every person.

I think we might be getting confused between the 'Top Flyers' and 'Uniq' schemes. I do believe you can become a Top Flyer by invitation only as previously stated and that is related to your tier points but i'm fairly certain (forgive me if I am wrong) that your tier points have no relation to you being Uniq and thus are unable to accrue so many tier points to reach such a status. I know their are a few Top Flyers here who may be in the know and can add or tidy up to my point.

What used to be called GBTops are now UNIQ's - and TPs definitely are one way of determining if you become a UNIQ. But not the only as preiffer said earlier.
Note there are UNIQ's who are top fliers, VIPs, CIPs, and FORs that I am aware of, four different categories, maybe another one I've forgotten.

There's no NDA, no restriction on talking about it, no anything, there's also no guidebook and no listed benefits either so no one here who may be is concealing anything. You sort of find your way through it, and asking for favours sometimes works, but not for upgrades (just as it should be).

Indeed. There are many classed as "UNIQ" on the system who have only flown once 

And I know of someone who is UNIQ but who does not collect TPs so VS kobviously have ways of monitoring frequent fliers other than via an FC account.

It doesn't sound much if you put it like that -- but NB that this is the level at which you would move from silver to gold in the BAEC, and quite a few nice things happen to you at that point.

Didn’t say really frequent flyer – “level of loyalty”.. 60TPs = 6 round trips in UC non flex ticket.. 6 x Z class tickets to NYC = £9489.54 (current sale price) £9489.54 = 4768 McDonald’s happy meals (for a bit of fun). With someone spending nearly £10,000 (would be nearer £14,000 with non sale prices) by loyally chosing the same carrier I think VS should offer a little more than a single clubhouse invite (shelf price £60) upon reaching that milestone....
Or are you saying the tier point system should work on the number of flights that you take with VS as opposed to how much you spend? Interesting thought that, although I feel some might cry foul, myself included, if everyone got the same tier points regardless of class of travel.

Anyways kind of stealing this thread, so if it would be beneficial to strike up a fresh topic on what people think about how the tier point system currently works and whether or not there is another way to work it, also maybe how it compares to other programs I am sure the mods can do some fancy cut and pasting ii) oo)
