Just wondering why VS have decided this route for a dedicated new aircraft? Surely DXB would be a better route/ more profitable?
One of the reasons may well be that the DEL route has for the longest time been served by the A343 planes usually minus V-Port (although G-VSUN often does this route). The DXB route has the A346 which, if I am correct, is bigger than the A330
It may to do with India being a focus market "up and coming" and increased presence of the new product and brand especially with Mumbai starting again this year - though I am just guessing?
When I went to DXB recently it was a 346 and pretty full so why change it?

It isn't always a guide to profitability as you don't know what the seats were sold for, if anything. That said, DXB along with HKG and PVG are generally surefire bets for the A346 - DXB and HKG for high yielding volume of PAX, PVG for cargo.
DEL and BOM are highly competitive routes so putting the 330s on the with latest ife etc might just give VS the edge over its competitors
I assume there will be one day a week when it's not a 330 like the VS3/4 so the plane can have some maintenance?
Huzzah for International Jet-setting !
