Does anyone know when these points get allocated? Ive booked for NYC for December and wondering if the VH £12k points will go on soon (as Ive paid) or when weve had the holiday????
You only get the miles once you have taken the flight, they will automatically be added after each sector provided you have your FC number attached to your booking.
im aware thats how it works for the VA flight but this is for "spend" on Virgin Holidays as well as the flight miles?

Ah okay, sorry can't answer that one as not booked a holiday through VH before. I would imagine it would be the same as the flight as you could in theory cancel and get a refund on part/all and would then have got the miles for nothing.
Hopefully someone should be along to advise for certain.
thanks for that. I do remember when i booked with virgin for orlando in to travel this year in august that they appeared in sept although ive only just started collecting seriously so wasnt watching! im at 180k so far

Thinking about it, I've not yet received my miles from VH from September.
There does seem to be an issue somewhere between VS and VH at the moment as I booked a hotel on the VS website (which is administered by VH) for my Chicago trip in Sept. No miles have appeared yet. I've just submitted a manual claim.
You are supposed to get the miles on the day you check in to your hotel. It's the same for miles earned with full VH packages too.

after my recent Barbados trip my VH spend miles appeared 0n the 18th of the following month, this seems to be a trend as my st lucia holiday miles were also credited on the 18th of the following month
hope this helps

From our St Lucia trip in the summer, the VH purchase miles were credited the same day as the VS flight miles for the outbound leg.
We can get better, because we're not dead yet
Yes I'm thrilled to say the least.......virgin FC credit card, tesco, shops away, flights with VA, VH bookings......easy peasy!
