A while ago, during the points sale I managed to book return flights for my son and myself to Orlando flying out in G on the 1st July VS27, returning on the 9th in PE on the VS16. I was delighted to get the Gs and also to be able to use my Amex vouchers on the PE return. The timing of the holiday was all about bagging the Gs. I then got the Itinerary Change email on the 21st Dec - which announced a 10 minute later arrival time. I went into manage my booking, checked we were still travelling G and accepted the change. Today my older son was curious as to how much a seat for him would cost and checked the equivalent revenue flights - which say that there are no UC seats available and shows the VS27 being operated by an A330-300. I checked MMB and it now shows a 330 for the flight but still shows G. Could they be putting on a 3 class 330 (If so would there not be more UC seats than a Gatwick 747) or has Virgin forgotton to inform us that we are no longer travelling in G?
Any advice appreciated.
