I read that 80% of the earths population lives within a 6/7 hour flight of Dubai. Much of this % is going to attain a growing amount of wealth in the next 50 years as economies develop.

Sounds like EK are on to a long-term winner I'd say.

Plus there is also the EY Regional plan as well.

No doubt that both EK are clearly set on world domination with EY not too far behind.

Coupled with the expansion of QR and TK (who have made a very impressive network in the last couple of years) it is clear that this part of the world is going to be the force in aviation over the next 10 years or so, in much the same way that SQ/CX were the force in the 90's.
