It's been broken for a few months now. The only way to check is via phone.

Yes, but if you select an M fare which is the lowest upgradeable fare and go on to the next level to buy that fare, the website defaults to a non-upgradeable fare. That is what the OP is referring to and what the links posted in response are referring to also.

Considering how far advanced Avios's reward fare searches are, this is pretty shocking on VS's part. When you can use an interactive map to see what's available on BA etc, VS have made it near impossible to do this online. I would hope they will use some of their recently announced profit to overhaul this system!

... or their entire IT system...

When I called FC helpline last week to price up M-G one way and revenue return journey, and asked them for a breakdown of the cost per sector, I was told that the system does not show them (how can that be, when the information is on a 3rd party search engine, eg. ITA matrix?) ?| Often when I check the prices online, each search gives me a different price. Sometimes pages aren't found when I click on something on the VS website. All I'm saying is, I hope they revamp their whole system, soon, as if they did it bit by bit, I think the reward seat search is probably lower down on their priority list... :w

Well, I suppose it at least covers up for the fact that G's are now unavailable almost anywhere!
