I checked on the "real" cost of our tickets today. £9880 return :0 My £1100 fees & taxes, 150k Avios and Amex 241 voucher make it a great "saving". Though it is not really a saving at all as I would never have flown First had I had to pay cash. There are hundreds of other things I would preferably spend £10k on. But for us it is a great treat, I am sure we will have a ball.
