If either VS or the MCO airport authorities thought it was unsafe for the flight to land and then take off then it would have either been cancelled or diverted.
Huzzah for International Jet-setting !

So virgin lands at 5.20 people won't get cats and buses till around 7 pm. I think this is a minor error of Judgement and timing !
On the flip side, there will be people booked on the return sector who are probably glad to be leaving just as Hurricane Matthew hits the area rather than be delayed for 48hrs+ and contend with hundreds of others whose flights were cancelled. Thomas Cook are also operating today I see.
Fingers crossed everyone stays safe.

It's showing as on time on the website but I must admit this has surprised me
We were due to fly out to MCO tomorrow on VS027 which has now been delayed until Saturday and renamed VS0127 so if VS16 heads back tonight would it sit tight at Gatwick until returning to MCO on Saturday?

1071, 71 from GLA
1027, 27 and 15 from LGW
1075, 73 and 75 from MAN
ROY and ROS are already enroute from GLA.
1027/27 and 1075/73 are apparently scheduled together, so might be the same aircraft...
Either way, going to be a lot of VS 744s in MCO later today...wonder are they using any 330s as well?
